Nuts and Bolts for Pastors

Providence’s Buller Centre for Business Offers 6-Part Workshop Series on Church Management

Otterburne—The Buller Centre for Business working in partnership with Providence Theological Seminary, is launching a new 6-part workshop series on church management, beginning January 10th, 2013.

Focused on the needs of new pastors, the intention of this workshop series is to provide them with the basic skills of management, adapted to the church setting. The workshop may also be of interest for more-experienced church leaders who want to brush up their management skills.

“In developing this series, we surveyed more than two dozen experienced church leaders and asked them what skills and knowledge they wish they’d had when they started in their first lead pastoral role,” said Bruce Duggan, Director of the Buller Centre for Business. “They told us they would have wanted workshops focused on planning, staff and volunteer management, publicizing their church’s activities, and on practical leadership tips. So we’ve built a workshop series around those needs.”
