Starting in Fall 2011, we will be working with the International Institute on Sustainable Development on a project to grow, harvest, densify, and burn cattails grown in Netley Marsh (where the Red River opens into Lake Winnipeg).

Richard Groshans has completed the proof-of-concept research, and the Buller Centre and business students will be involved in a scale-up project.
