We have a significant number of bursaries and scholarships for business students. They emphasize two things – prior entrepreneurial activities, and plans once you graduate.
Entrepreneurship Bursary: Full tuition for one year
This bursary is available to a new student who started their own business or micro-enterprise in high school, and who is applying to the Business program.
To be considered for this bursary you need to:
- make an application to Providence
- meet the criteria for enrollment
- write a 400-word essay outlining a business or micro-enterprise you started prior to applying to Providence
- write a paragraph or two about yourself, including what you hope to do once you graduate.
Once you’re awarded the bursary you need to:
- be enrolled in no less than 30 credit hours over the school year, in courses needed to major in Business
- maintain an AGPA of 2.5
- live at Providence.
You’ll be reimbursed for tuition at the end of each semester.
Business Administration Bursary: $1,000
This bursary available to new students applying to the Business program.
To be considered for this bursary you need to:
- make an application to Providence
- meet the criteria for enrollment
- write a 400-word essay outlining your business involvement prior to applying to Providence
- write a paragraph or two about yourself, including what you hope to do once you graduate.
Once you are awarded the bursary you need to:
- be enrolled in no less than 30 credit hours over the school year, in courses needed to major in Business
- take and pass 6 credit hours in Business courses in each semester
- maintain an AGPA of 2.5
- live at Providence.
The bursary is designated by the start of the school year. You will be reimbursed for tuition at the end of each semester.
2nd Year Business Scholarship: Tuition for 1 semester
This scholarship is available to students who have completed their 1st year at Providence in the Business program.
To be considered for this bursary you need to:
- be a Business major
- write a career plan (400 words minimum) outlining your business goals after graduation.
Once you are awarded the bursary you need to:
- be enrolled in no less than 30 credit hours over the school year
- maintain an AGPA of 3.0.
The bursary is designated by the start of the school year. You will be reimbursed for 2nd-semester tuition.
3rd Year Business Scholarship: Tuition for 1 semester
This scholarship is available to students who have completed their 2nd year at Providence in the Business program.
To be considered for this bursary you need to:
- Be a Business major.
- Write either
- a career plan (400 words minimum) outlining your business goals after graduation, or
- a business plan for a business you intend to start after graduation.
Once you are awarded the bursary you need to:
- be enrolled in no less than 30 credit hours over the school year
- maintain an AGPA of 3.0.
The bursary is designated by the start of the school year. You will be reimbursed for 2nd-semester tuition.
